Reduce all fractions to their lowest terms.

1. Evaluate: 48 5/6 + 13 2/3 = These are mixed numbers, that is, a whole number and fraction.

14. Subtract: 138.9 – 56.7643

15. Simplify the 8 problems:

17. Divide (2.8 x 108) by ( 7 x103 )

20. 35% of a class is girls. There are 120 children in the class. How many boys are there?

21. Find the Least Common Multiple for 16, 28 and 21. The LCM is a number that can be evenly divided by each of these.

22. Find the mean of these numbers:
17, 24, 35, 37, 38, 26, 37, 50.

23. Find the median of the numbers in problem 22.

24. Find the range of the numbers in problem 22.

25. Find the mode of the numbers in problem 22

26. Find the percent of increase for the price of a car if its 2003 price was $16,000 and the price now will be $17,280.

28. Find the area of a rectangle whose length is 16 feet and width is 25 feet.

29. Find the perimeter of a parallelogram whose base is 18 feet and height is 6 feet and slanted side is 10 feet.

30. A circle has a diameter or 12 inches.
